Hii!! My first blog!

Hii everybody! This is my very first blog on Blogspot.com! I'm excited. I figured I would write this blog for my family and friends to read since everyone lives so far away. Theres been alot going on in my family. First my mom fell and shattered her knee cap, then my grandma finding out she has cancer...Geeeeezzz will it ever stop??

Well lets start with my mom...
A couple months ago (Mother's Day) my mom was walking through the kitchen and slipped on some water and slid under the cabinet. She was screaming in pain and we couldn't touch her knee. I had to call 911 and have them take her to the hospital. We found out that she had shattered her knee cap. This wasn't just a little break it was something that rarely happens, esspecially to housewives walking through the kitchen. Luckily they were able to do surgery to piece her knee back together. Now she's having to go to therapy (which she hasn't been doing as much as she should!!!!!).

Ok now to my grandma.
A couple of weeks ok my grandma went in to get a mamogram. We didn't think anything of it. Then she got a call saying that she would need to come take more x-rays. She went back and we waited for the results, which came back positive for cancer. So about a week or 2 ago my grandma went in to get the cancer taken out. They ended up taking out some lymphodes as well as the cancer and left a little drain thing in her under her arm. She turned out great after surgery. She looks a million times better now!!
Now that the sugery is done we have to worry about radiation and chemotherapy.
This morning we went to the doctor to talk about radiation and chemo. It is gonna be a hard journey that my grandma's gonna take. It's gonna take alot out of her but she has a great doctor that really seems to care about her and she also, of course, has her family! The chemo is gonna make her lose her hair after the very first time. They said 10 days after her first treatment. They also said that chemo is the hardest part of this whole ordeal. She's gonna have to go to chemotherapy first, then radiation, then 2 other things. I can't remember the names of them tho. The doctor said that the worst of it will be done with then chemo is over in october.

On a more positive side EVERY doctor and nurse that we talked to said that grandma looked 20 years younger than her age hahahaha. Everyone always tells her that.

Oh and me and my mom are gonna get wigs to wear with my grandma and I also am gonna dye her hair blonde and throw some pink in there!!!!! Wait for pictures!!!! lol

Your grandma and your mom will be in our prayers. I can't wait to see pics of your grandma with pink streaks in her hair! :-)
